    Based on your reflection and evaluation, provide a summary of the adjustments that you will make for this year's plan.

    Current Performance

    Our top three priorities were chosen because there are significant gaps among Black and Hispanic students compared to the overall student population in both literacy and math. Based on our data review, we did not identify any other priorities outside of our top three.

    Priority Performance Challenge and Associated Root Cause

    Priority Performance Challenge:  3-5 ELA Achievement, 0964 2024

    Area of Focus: English/Language Arts achievement


    Root Cause: Lack of system to support professional learning communities

    We do not yet have a year long plan that incorporates facilitated unit internalization and identification of misconceptions. With new curriculum being implemented the lack of supported planning caused a lack of consistency throughout the school.

    Root Cause: Ineffective System to Support Instructional Planning and Data Use

    We do not yet have an effective system to build teacher capacity for using data and planning for enhanced instruction with CDE approved curricular resources. Additionally, we have not yet built leaders' capacity with facilitating effective data and planning meetings.

    The instructional team demonstrates a lack of understanding of MTSS and the intervention, progress monitoring and data analysis necessary to refer a student for additional academic support.
